Learning Sciences Research Intern

Brainscape, a leading AI-powered study platform with > 9 million users, is seeking a Learning Sciences Research Intern to help us modernize and propagate the messaging around our method's scientific foundations.

The ideal candidate is a graduate student with a deep interest in the learning sciences and a desire to apply their skills to a fast-growing EdTech startup.

You will be working directly with our CEO and Marketing department for about 10-15 hours per week and will gain visibility into many aspects of building a company in the education space.

While most of the work for this position will be remote, we would prefer a candidate in or near the NYC area for occasional team meetups. The internship will be compensated with a small stipend and will have potential to be extended into a longer-term employment opportunity in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize marketing-friendly nuggets from Brainscape's white paper & articles
  • Help proliferate these small research-backed insights via marketing channels
  • Contribute to the design of a new Research section of our website
  • Identify thought leaders in fields related to Brainscape's core learning principles
  • Monitor newly published research and craft Brainscape's reactions to it
  • Connect & discuss this research with thought leaders on social media & forums

Qualifications

  • Work toward a graduate degree in education and/or cognitive science
  • Deep interest in learning & memory
  • Passion for optimizing study skills using modern technology tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Obsessive organizational skills
