Market Researcher / Partnerships Manager

Brainscape, a leading AI-driven adaptive learning platform with > 9 million users, is seeking a Market Researcher / Partnerships Manager to help us uncover high-value opportunities & partnerships.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic problem solver with strong instincts about how people study for a variety of subjects, languages, exams, and professional certifications.

You will be working directly with our executive team to research, prioritize, pursue, and execute content partnership opportunities that will multiply Brainscape's growth for years to come.

This is a full-time remote position, with occasional travel elsewhere for team outings. The right candidate will have tremendous potential for growth at our company over the coming years.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify industry & educational trends that impact study behavior
  • Analyze Brainscape user data to help isolate "hot" subject areas
  • Research competitive study solutions & articulate Brainscape's role in those markets
  • Present market prioritization recommendations to executive team
  • Contact relevant educators & publishers to explore potential partnerships
  • Identify which influencers and content experts are the best fit in a market
  • Schedule & lead exploratory meetings with prospective partners
  • Build 'demo' flashcards and sample tech integrations to illustrate value to partners
  • Advise school, company, & publisher partners on their own content creation
  • Uncover creative opportunities for expansion of existing client or partner deals
  • Assist execs with negotiation and implementation of partnership agreements

Qualifications

  • Passion for education and/or personal development
  • 2+ years experience w/ market research, business development, and/or test prep
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (especially active listening)
  • Proven ability to identify high-ROI opportunities and quickly abandon time-wasters
  • Comfort conducting extensive video meetings remotely
  • Obsessive organizational skills (e.g. document management, CRM, spreadsheets)
  • Confidence and resourcefulness to solve problems in creative ways
  • Ability to frequently switch context and "tone" with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong focus on process improvement & documentation
  • Bonus experience: curriculum development, consultative sales, & test prep instruction
